Bayern Munich will block any attempt by the FA to offer Paul Clement an England role under Sam Allardyce, Sky sources understand.
The former Derby County manager was reunited with Carlo Ancelotti when the Italian replaced Pep Guardiola at Bayern earlier this summer.
It is the fourth time the pair have worked together following spells at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Clement, who was sacked by Derby in February, is joint assistant manager at Bayern alongside Hermann Gerland, but had been earmarked for a role in Allardyce's team with the national side.
However, that has not been confirmed by the FA, which state they are still in the process of assembling the backroom team to will work alongside Allardyce.

But Sky Sports News HQ understands Bayern will not allow Clement to return to England and want to keep him on their staff.
Allardyce has already appointed Sammy Lee, his assistant from their time together at Bolton Wanderers, to his coaching team.
England's first game under their new manager, who succeeded Roy Hodgson, is a World Cup qualifier against Slovakia on September 4.
